Throughout the duration of the course, students will have the opportunity to take part in various performances ranging from compilation showcases to full-scale musicals.
At the end of Term 1 students will perform in a professional theatre debuting their work and development since beginning the course. Gaining vital experience of a working theatre and all aspects that encompass this such as; sound, lighting and backstage work.
Following this students will form the cast of a full-scale musical production to be performed at the end of Term 2. This will prepare students for a future in the industry as they will be expected to work as part of a production company creating visuals and preparing all technical aspects alongside their performance. This will strengthen students skills gained during their Term 1 production.
To close Term 3 a showcase will be staged in a renowned theatre allowing students the opportunity to perform in front of an audience including invited agents and industry professionals. This will give them maximum exposure to ensure they gain a head start in an already competitive industry.
Under the umbrella of ‘RSM’ various performance credits have previously been gained via our part-time Stage Academy, performing in prestigious venues such as; Sadler’s Wells Theatre, two consecutive appearances at Royal Albert Hall and as one of seven schools appearing at Her Majesty’s Theatre.
